But I ran across two more ways that should help a bit. GrandCentral is a service that gives you “one phone number for life”. Basically you get a new number that you can give out to all of your contacts, and this number can then forward calls to all your other numbers. That doesn’t sound like much, but it actually has all sorts of cool features like being able to ring multiple phones at once, route certain calls to voicemail, e-mail copies of voicemails, and more. The best part, nobody will need to update your number if it ever changes.

The other service I just started checking out is called FriendFeed. It’s invite only, but if you’re the type of person that has blogs, Flickr photo streams, YouTube pages, and all that, FriendFeed provides a single place where your friends can subscribe to all of them instead of having to subscribe to each separately.
